Main Squeeze Natural Foods Cafe is located in downtown Columbia and vows to serve fresh, local and healthy snacks, meals and drinks to Columbia.  They offere a variety of smoothies and juices made with vegetables, protein and other suppliments designed to keep you going and feeling helathy about your life and what you feed your body.

JAN THOMPSON

 

Thompson is an accoutant, a mother and a pickleball player, who lives in Columbia. Grown up in a neighbothood with all boys, Thompson did not get much sports experience until she was in her middle age. Now she plays pickleball in Senior Games as a way to stay healthy. Thompson said unlike tennis, pickleball does not require much physical strength, whick makes it a suitable sports for seniors.

Clover’s Natural Market is a local grocery store that provides customers with locally grown food. The market is a good food shopping option because the quality of food is high and the employees won’t cheat customers.

LAUREL GOODMAN

 

Goodman learned acrobatic yoga in Cambodia when she went on a trip to Southeast Asia in 2010. She moved to Columbia in September, 2012, and because she saw there were no acrobatic yoga classes offered in the city, she started teaching to her friends in her living room. The group quickly grew, and now she teaches class at Yoga Sol.

As a certified nutritionist, he writes up diet plans and sells supplements that help people build muscle and lose weight the healthy way. Watring has gained 80 pounds of muscle in the course of about 5 years, making him a good example of how consistency and a healthy lifestyle can be achieved if done right.Click HERE to learn more.

THE COLUMBIA TRACK CLUB
 

The Columbia Track Club consists of over 200 runners including men and women, young and old, fast and slow, serious athletes and stress-free joggers. In this video I explore the question why we run by interviewing five different runners within the Columbia Track Club.

ARTHUR DU

 

Du is a tai chi master who brought the art of tai chi to Columbia in 2011. More than one hundred and fifty people have learned tai chi from Du. With the rising “tai chi population,” Du said the entire community can embrace tai chi as a way of keeping balanced and healthy. Click HERE to learn more.
